Found your post whilst doing a search of the Bell surname. I have ancestors from Methwold Norfolk who moved to Bolton Lancs c1860, and am trying to locate any Norfolk ties. Can you help?

Hi
I have searched the surname intest boards with little success, Bell is such a common name! The one name that makes my searches a little easier is Eagle, my gt gt gt grn fthr married a Mary Eagle, by searching this name I find 90% from Norfolk, the surname was then carried as a forename for quite a few gens. However this has not stopped me hitting a brick wall in Norfolk c1860 onwards and in Salford c1903.
