I have sent away for the top marriage between Thornhill and Lindhold 1883.
I now have Violet's death but cannot find a marriage date or birth date.

Hi carol,
The problem with ITM's are that the entries are not indexed after 1880, and a search requires an exact date and place, as well as the names. Can you narrow down the dates for your marriages to within 3 months, perhaps, so I don't have to hunt in every quarter?
Try looking in the local newspapers of the time for the marriage notices.

I am just in Papers Past having a look round. I think Violet married in Dunedin but what month i do not know. She was b abt 1901 and her husband abt 1905. Would elect Roll show him as married? Just a thought. Back to papers past. What a fantastic site

Hi have more info on Axel Mallerstatt/ Annie Attwood Marriage. They married on 9 September 1893 at Fortrose. Could you find the ITM please?

Have more info on Thornhill/Lindhold Marriage.
William Alfred Thornhill Married Anna Maria Lindhold 10 Aug 1883 Invercargill. I believe Anna was 16 or 17 when she married. William would have been in his 20's. Can you find the ITM?
