Would it be possible for someone to have a look please at the 1841 for Dukinfield to see if the family of Joseph and Betty STEWART are in the area of the Half Moon ?

    Can you give any more info please, ie; where were they in 1851, where were they born and there ages, the 1841 census is not name or street indexed so its a matter of searching the pages one by one.

Thanks for trying to help. I am sorry but  I thought by saying the Half Moon area that would narrow down the search. a bit.....

Anyway, Joseph and John are not on the 1851 - I think they must all be on the damaged bits of Ashton that cannot be retrieved. So Joseph and Betty are ages and origins unknown.

John was born in Dukinfield in 1831.  The other siblings were William (1826), Joseph(1827),Emma 1829, and Helen in 1836.

The only address I have for Joseph is the Half Moon in 1832. John and his wife were in Stamford Street, Ashton  in 1855.

So I was hoping that the family was still in Dukinfield in 1841.
