Hi,
I am looking for information please about the wife and family of James Rossiter christened on January 8th 1800 at Child Okeford. His wife's name is Maria but I have no information other than her name and that they had a son James born circa 1838.
I'd also appreciate details of any other Rossiter families in the area please.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.TIA.

the nearest match i can find to this family is this one-
living in long critchell street,long critchell dorset in 1841-
james rossiter 40yrs
martha 30yrs
flora 5yrs
james 3yrs
there is no maria rossiter in dorset the nearest is a maryann and shes 12yrs old.

Hi Sylvia,
Many thanks for that. James born 1838 married Isabella Charlotte Kemp. I have found three of their children ( Percy, Bertram, Reginald) but they had another child about 1882 whose name I do not know. Is it possible that you could find the child's Christian name please?

veering off just slightly ive found neice amy badcock on the 1881 cencus at home in lymington with parents (james sister mary elizabeth) and siblings.
here is the cencus for them-
living at 101 high street,lymington,hampshire
henry badcock 39yr old drugist and chemist
mary elizabeth 39yrs
children-
edith mary 7yrs
florence lillington 7yrs
rachel emily 5yrs
amy clara 3yrs
harriet barnes from poole dorset was visiting at the time and several shop workers are listed
