1841 & 1861 census, James Newman
« on: Thursday 01 December 05 11:22 GMT (UK) »

Hi, im looking to see who James Newman is with on the 1841 census, he was born c1838  Eastleach Turville (according to 1851 census).
I cant seem to find him on the 1861 census, if somebody with a fresh pair of eyes could have a look for me i'd be very grateful.

On the 1851 census he's with his grandparents William & Mary Newman in Eastleach Turville.

Thank you

Hello CAZ,

There's a James NEWMAN working as a Servant in Lechlade in 1861. He is 26, but birth place looks like 'Eastleach'...

1861 Census - RG9/728 F.102 P.24

Hi John, i've just found him and looked at the image, it looks like Eastleach to me as well, thats why i did'nt look at that image because of the birth place had been transcribed wrong.....i should've known better than to ignore it and should have had a look at the image.

Thank you
