Tearing hair out - any FTP experts out there?
« on: Friday 02 December 05 10:23 GMT (UK) »

Hello hyper-friends,
I need help - and fast!!  Grin
I've been having trouble for weeks now, trying to update my site http://skeleton-cupboard.rootschat.net
I don't know what's causing the problem, but I have worked out what I think is the result of whatever the problem is.  I have tried 4 different FTP clients -  Fetch, Transit, Cyberduck and the inbuilt FTP in my web software RapidWeaver (all for Mac) - and every one gives me an error message such as the one below:

FTP Error: (index.html) Quota exceeded: /index.html won't be saved 51197 Kbytes used (99%) - authorized: 51200 Kb

However, the page/file reference changes all the time.  One transfer attempt and it could be logo.png that won't load, another time it could be a page or a photo, this time it was the index page.  I had thought it was a limit placed on the demo versions of Fetch and Transit, until I just downloaded cyberduck and the same thing happened.

Does anyone know what the problem is?  I hope so!  If you do, please tell me!!!  Grin

Just letting you all know that following some tweaking by the very clever Trystan, my website is up and running again at
http://skeleton-cupboard.rootschat.net
It's not all there yet, but I'd be glad to know what you think of what you can see so far.

The colours have all gone funny on your Home page!!  The writing has almost disappeared.  Just thought I'd let you know.
