Joseph and Rosamond's wedding, 1918

Hi
I have assorted Bishops who I am unable to find on the censuses before 1861, when they were living in North Chideock:
Benjamin b.1769, d. 1853 & his wife Christian (Christiana?).
Their son John, 1793- 1868 ,& his wife Frances, b.1800.
Their son Edwin, b.1829.
Any information appreciated.

the IG1 has this info-benjamin bishop born c1774 chideock married christian(surname not known)in 1799 at chideock.

dont know if any of this helps but these are bishops buried in chideock taken from the NBI-
christian aged 15yrs buried 9th june 1833
christina aged 16yrs buried 9th june 1833
edwin(no age given) buried 26th nov 1833
john aged 1yr buried 2nd feb 1828
joseph aged 1 day buried 6th oct 1834
william aged 1 day old buried 6th oct 1834

i cant seem to find them either on the cencus i have just found john and frances in 1861 so bear with me while i try and back track from there.
living in chideock north in 1861-
john bishop 67yrs cordwainer born chideock
frances 60yrs also born chideock
james 29yrs blacksmith born chideock
anna.m farwell grandaughter aged 11 yrs born chideock.

i have a bapt for a robert bishop on 31st july 1803 at chideock.parents benjamin and christian.
robert is on the 1841 cencus living frypan in chideock -

Thanks for all your time and trouble on this.Considering the Bishops are (mainly) Chideock born and bred it seems strange that they have disappeared in 1841/1851 - unless Chideock has been missed somehow, especially on the 1851 Census?

That could well be my Benjamin - the dates are about right,they had a daughter Elizabeth around that age.Kitty might be a form of Christian? I feel a bit more research coming on!
