I have just found Jonas Crossland on the 1900 US census. Using the free site on ancestry.
It states that he arrived in the US in 1885. If anyone has access to ship's passenger records would they mind looking for him? I have found his wife Margaret Crossland on the Ellis Island site arriving back in the US from a visit to England in 1910.
At that time states she was living in Shamokin Pa. I think that Jonas came to the state of Pennsylvania. He was a coal miner.
Thank you very much any help or ideas where to look would be appreciated.

Hi Annie: Thank you Thank you. I am sure this is my Jonas Crossland. Sorry for not putting a date down. On the 1900 census it says he arrived in 1885 but he could have been off by a year.
Would the actual record show where he was going and to whom??
