can anyone expand on this?

a check of FamilySearch finds a Robert and Mary MAYHEW (no marriage) at St. James in Colchester with a daughter Mary b. 1748 and a daughter Martha b. 1750. there apparently is also a brother Robert and may be other children.
they are in the IGI but not in the AF.

I believe their daughters Mary and Martha are the Mary and Martha who m. my ancestor and his brother, Joseph and Edmond Cross.

Joseph and Edmond m. Mary and Martha 9 Oct 1769 and 5 Sep 1770 respectively, in St. Nicholas, Colchester, Essex.
Joseph's was by banns, Edmond's was by license. Joseph remarried after Mary's death to Elizabeth Richards.

I have some of Edmond's descendants. I have lots of Joseph's descendants-I'm one of them. I have nothing on either the Mayhew ancestry or the Richards ancestry.

I'm interested in the Mayhew's because I am in contact with a cousin who descends from them, and I am interested in the Richards' because I descend from them.
