Looking for the father of Lawrence Harby born 1914 died 1983. I have his father as a Charles Harby. I know that Charles Harby died 1963 and his wife Mary (nee Wilson) died about 1959 in Metheringham Lincs. Any help sorting out which Charles Harby is the right one would be great as there is a couple of them that could be Lawrence's father.


Have now got the marriage certificate look up completed thank you

Dangerous to guess too much!

I see they married in 1905 (in Sleaford District) which implies a birth not later than 1889.  The only local candidates seem to be Charles (son of Henry) in Pickworth and Mary (dau of George) in Wellingore.  You really need the marriage certificate to confirm the fathers' names

Thanks for the reply I am still waiting to get the marriage certificate, I enquired about it nearly a month ago, and paid my fee. I know Mary's side of the family , its the Harby side thats the problem. They tell porky's about their ages. Will just have to chase Lincoln about the cerificate again.
