Hi biker chick
Try the Northamptonshire Look Up Exchange as someone is offering look ups for Long Buckby.
I have taken digital pics of the Independent and Baptist Chuch there and a few of the Parish Church as so many of them could not do all at once.
As you say loads of Muddimans etc in all 3 places.
Cheers Sandy

Hi biker chick
On the 1861 Census Rg9/946 Pg 4 Folio 37 The Townsend family is noted yet no Ann present as Townsend . They do have a boarder Un (unmarried) named Ann Newitt aged 18 Lace Maker. I think it has been noted down wrongly and it is more than likely their daughter who married your Joseph.
