To quote what I said 4 and a half years ago, "just saw your message today"  Wink I haven't been looking at rootschat for a while.  So I'm sorry that this answer comes two months late.

No, I know about the Coales/Coles family basically only what is in John Coales's book of 2000, though some of what you quote from me down there looks as if it's out of my fiche of the Thorpe Achurch registers.  I've just had a look, and there is no John Co(a)les in that book b. 1752 or married to a Catherine, even allowing for some fairly free interpretation of the dates. And since my last posting John Coales has himself died, so we can't ask him either.
