Hi There,
Can anyone help me with information on John Clark Hairstens/Hairstaines.  He was a Dancing Master and was probably born around 1860.   He married Jane McCowan/McGowan in 1882 at St. Giles, Edinburgh.   They had 7 children that I know of,  I'm interested in the line to their son John Clark Hairstens b.c. 1884 in Dumfries.
If anyone has any details of the Hairstens or McCowan families, I would be very grateful.
