Marriage help please
« on: Monday 05 December 05 19:56 GMT (UK) »

Hi, I am trying to find the marriage of Joh Wanklin to Elizabeth ??  the only info I have is that that they may have had a number of children between 1802 and 1821.  Most of the children were born in Lugwardine.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks very much, fantastic info.

It is a possibility, will have to check out Tenbury Wells but it appears to be not too far away from where the family seem to have settled.  Can I ask where you found this info so that I can see if there are any other names that fit in.

Thanks again for your help it is much apreciated.

Cheers

Yes !!!  Loads of Wanklyns from Herefordshire.  My Nan's maiden name was Wanklyn (see photo) and she was the youngest of 17 children!  Any Wanklyn's in your family?

Most of the family seem to have originated from Llanwarne, Tretire, St Weonards, but they have travelled all over Herefordshire and even beyond.

Mainly trying to find out as much as possible on Thomas Wanklyn (married Mary Davies) born 1812 and hopefully his father John - which is the one listed above.

Any help is much apreciated - especially as I can't get to the record office until next year.

Cheers

No - but I know a man who does have the marriage of John Wanklyn and Anne Morgan in his tree. I will send you his email address in a personal message so that you can contact him direct.  Is your tree available to view on the internet?

I am interested in the daughter of John Wanklyn and Anne Morgan - Mary born either 1791 or 1797.  She went on to marry John Moulds at Llanwarne on 20/11/1826.   My Great Great Grandfather Charles Wanklyn was living with Mary and John Moulds when he was 16.
