Dear members,
Can anybody please assist with the MARRIAGE and DEATH dates/location records of the following couple -
WEST, Charles Dow b c1833 Mile End MSX married Mary ....
abt, 1870
As their 2 sons, Charles William [1872] and Frederick H [1874] were born in Rotherhithe, it is possible that Rotherhithe is where they married and died.

the reference numbers for a certificate are
Volume 1c
Page 999
no sign of a death cert reference for Charles Dow West but did find this entry and it is probably connected
Deaths registered in quarter ending Mar 1897
Charles Dow West no age given in district of St. Geo. East volume 1c page 230
Will keep looking and come back to you if I find anything relevant

Forget about that... I think Charles Dow West married twice... the first time to Elizabeth Fleetwood with the reference that I gave above...

in the marriages of Charles West's the following are possibles:
Charles West married Mary Josephine Speight in the district of the Strand Volume 1b page 888 in the quarter end september 1869
another possibility is this one:
Charles West married Mary Ann Rowe in Bethnal Green in the quarter ending September 1870 Volume 1c page 562
I am sorry about the earlier mix up...

Many thanks for your 2 responses.
They have been of great assistance to me.
There is however one problem and that is with the 1897 death of Charles Dow WEST.
A Charles Dow WEST is alive in the 1901 Census, as a Mariner, so, there must have been 2 Charles Dow WESTs.
The other perhaps being the son of the one we have been referring to.
