I have always wanted to meet Ian or his Wife Marilyn, but have never had the nerve to find out how to He was doing a signing of his new book Yesterdays Wirral (I Think) at our local Library.Pity the library was so quiet though, library's are always having book signing.I see them often but there is never anyone round,i am sure there must have been lots of people that would have gone to the library if they had known Ian was there.I have never seen any notification in the papers about it,the only reason i knew he was there is because there was a sandwich board in the entrance giving the libraries he was going to..I have two I should have three of his books numbers 4&5 and I never tire at looking through them.Because it was so quiet i was able to have a nice chat with him.He is a lovely man,it made my Day

I do use libraries a lot, Eastham and Bromborough as it happens, but I can't say I've ever come across him, and I do look in the local history sections, as well as everything else. But he sounds very interesting.

That's ok. I didn't take it as personal just stating about the libraries, I think. Mine dont come out right either!! Mind you they are small branches.
