This may not help much, but Mangiacapre is, I believe, an Italian name. A quick google of Syosset NY, shows it to be a small town with many citizens of Italian descent.

As to how an Italian-American girl comes to be a niece of Thomas King, I can only guess that one of his sisters
married an American. Their DOBs make them a little old for war- brides of WWII and young for WWI, but still possible. Or perhaps one of them emigrated to the US and married there.

That is my contribution to the puzzle, for the moment.
I shall be following this thread to see what happens next. This is an intrigueing little mystery.

Good luck,
Carmela

Hello Carmela

I would just like to say thank you. Smiley

From reading you thread, it had given me another way to see if I could find, any info to Patricia Mangiacapre / King.
I searched for some shipping passenger list. But I do not have any idea to what ship or year and in the end I was not getting very far. Sad

It was like trying to find a needle in a haystack, just imposable without the right info.

But please don't get me wrong, I think your help has made me look in all directions.
Once again Thank you and I do appreciate your thoughts. Smiley

Cheers
Julie

Hello GJ
Thanks for the information in regard to the possible mangiacapre family. Smiley

I have another possibility with the death of Thomas George King's father.
I received it on Friday last week.

His name was Frederick Ernest King.
He died in 1954 aged 83 and lived at 19 Dancer road Fulham sw6 and his son was the informant Arthur E King and his address was the same as his fathers 19 Dancer road Fulham sw6.

GJ
Could you do a look up for his death details please Cheesy
Giving the fact he was alive in 1954.
If he were alive he would be 98 years old, very unlikely but not imposable.

I am just thinking that may be his death details could lead us to someone in the UK.
As to looking for Patricia in New York, I think with the amount of searching we have done and with the details we have, I think the US is a much harder place to search, especially if she is still alive, privacy etc.

We might have a bite more of a chance with Arthur E King in the U.K.

Could you please let me know what your thoughts are on this? As I do very much appreciate your help. Cheesy

Cheers
Julie
