Elizabeth Johnstone born c 1834 Peebles i am desperately trying to find her parents she was my 3xgrandmother she married Richard Burns Traquair 1852 came to NZ 1857
Their Children Born Cardronna Traquair
Agnes Burns  1852   James Johnstone Burns 1854 Richard Burns 1856 any help would be great  Thanks Harriet Huh

Hi,
I am new to the board so I have just seen your request. I have searched Peeblesshire for 1841 and 1851 and I can't find a precise match although there are some possibilities. Do you have any more information, siblings for example?

Hi thanks for getting in touch  i havent been able to find out anything about Elizabeth  she died  tragically in NZ when she was only 36yrs old her death cert tells me nothing i thought her mother may have been Agnes as that was her eldest daughters name she would have been about 6yrs old in the 1841 census i am not sure what part of Peebleshire she was born in Cheers harriet

Hi Emma  thank you very much  i am pretty sure thats my ggggrandfather Richard Burns as for Elizabeth unless they have the ages wrong by 1841 she would have been about  6 or 7yrs old when she married in 1852 she was 18yrs old  sometimes i think the agesare out a little so i will keep it on file.Many thanks again for your time its great Harriet Roll Eyes
