Nicholas & Badge names
« on: Thursday 09 September 04 14:16 BST (UK) »

I am looking for people with links to these names that have links to Cornwall between 1815 and 1891.

In particular the names Margary, Harold & Thirza Badge, and James H (Hodge?), Joseph, Margary & Fred Nicholas.  Fred appears to have been born ABT 1883 in Sheppards Bush, Middlesex.

Many Thanks,
Simon Hawking.

here is the 1871 census for a Thirza Badge

Thirza Badge 27  St Earth, Cornwall, England Niece  Stoke Damerel  Devon
Catherine Morley 54  Lewannick, Cornwall, England Wife  Stoke Damerel  Devon
Charles Morley 52  St Earth, Cornwall, England Head  Stoke Damerel  Devon

I also found the 1891 for Fred Nicholas if you havent got that.

Thanks Nicky!

I'm now curious as to the link of Nicholas and Badge, and Badge and Morley.  Maybe Morley is Margary's maiden name.

Atleast there is a strong consistancy with St Erth and Devonport, so muct be on the right track!  The Middlesex connection has me completly thrown now, as Fred is the only connection (from 1891 when staying with Margary Badge - along with other grandchildren).

I got to the name Badge from Roscrow, so am assuming Nicholas came from a Badge Daughter marrying into that name.

All these names live in the same street, and come from the same roots in St Erth.
