Khaki, is it brown or green?

I'm having  trouble  getting the uniform to look a realistic colour  in this picture. I think it's because there is so much dark shading in the image to start with.
The picture was taken 1916-18,  and the uniform could be either the Monmouthshire Regt or the Machine Gun Corps.
Any help gratefully received.

To give the picture a sepia colour just increase the red and blue tones very slightly. Wink
