My Gran's mother's maiden name was Chisholm, Margaret Belle Chisholm and she was (as far as we know) from the Galashiels area.  May be a distant relation to your Agnes?   Huh  Smiley
She married Edward Taylor of Galashiels.
I'm just starting my family tree, so it'd be interesting to find out where the Chisholms came from.   Smiley

Hi Delphinum i am not sure if this Agnes Chisholm is the one i am looking for at all i did notice there are a lot of Chisholm  Cheesy& Taylor Families in Selkirk so Good Luck with your research Harriet
