Kate (Kathleen) O,Neill- Md. Francis Parker
« on: Tuesday 20 December 05 12:00 UTC (UK) »

I am trying to find some detail about my wife's Grandmother, Kate or Kathleen O'Neill.

We have a copy of her marriage cert. to my wifes paternal Grandfather Francis (Frank) Parker, dated 16th January 1905 at The Chapel of Saint Canice, Kilkenny.

Ages are only given as full although we think Kate was 29, born 1876.

No parenrtal detail is given for Kate and the only clue we have is her address given as Goosehill, Kilkenny.

I have checked what maps available to me and can find no reference to Goosehill, can anyone help with this.

Kate went on to live in England and to our knowledge never returned to Kilkenny for a holiday etc.

Although her youngest son is still alive and said he remembered an auntie from Ireland did visit them at Colchester, England.

Without any O'Neill family shown on the marriage certificate we can only guess they were not present, perhaps this is because Francis was an English soldier.

My wife and myself will be visiting Kilkenny next year and would like to find out as much as possible about Kate (Kathline) before doing so.

I hope someone can help us along our way, thank-you, Bill S.
