Hi Rosepip
I have a Pruedance STAGG married 27 Jul 1826 Charles TAUNTON in Montacute
Prudance died in 1843 . She and Charles had Five children James, Oliver, Eliza.Eliza and an unname boy.
James is the only child to Survive. Charles Taunton remarried to Elizabeth Jeans 1843 and came out to Australia with James in 1844.
I havn't been able to find a Birth record for Pruedance Stagg.
It would be great if we could make a conection between the two families.

Sorry no Prudence on my list of Staggs.
I have a longish list of births marriages and deaths for lots of Staggs in that area
I had a copy of the bishops transcripts a couple of years ago and made note of all the Births marriages and deaths for all Staggs in Montacute
i have them on a word document , do you know how i can send them to you

Hi,
noticed that you are researching Taunton, Stagg & Jeans etc. I am in Australia & am descended from John Taunton son of Charles Taunton & Elizabeth Jeans. Charles Taunton is my great great grandfather.
I am interested in gaining more information, particularly the lineage in England. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have some details of a marriage between James Chaffy and his third wife
Harriet Ryall, who may well have been a Taunton, since the 1861 census as lists a 19 year old Eliza Taunton (together with a younger daughter surnamed Ryall, poss Eliza was illegitimate or Harriet like James married 3 times)
Also James son (my wife 2) Job married a Emma Taunton in 1869
