I can't believe how much online shopping is going on. I started my little fridge magnet manufacturing as a 'hobby' and the last month on ebay has just been ridiculous! Looking forward to a (slightly) quieter new year and getting back into Rootschatting!!!!

I agree entirely.

A few months ago, my motherboard and hard disk entered a mutually assured destruction pact. While I had a backup of my site, it was about 6 weeks old, and this meant I had to work through my live site to update the restored site I had previously saved. Took me about six weeks to get things back on track. And, life's too short to be doing that more than once.

Now I do a weekly back-up to an external hard disc!

Unable to access my family tree

This morning I find I cannot access my Family Tree at this address

I am getting in the following message

To quote the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy:

"On the front is written in nice friendly red letters Don't Panic !"

It's not you, the server rootschat.net where all the free webspace sites and the Surname Interests Table lives is having problems.

We had similar problems last week too.

Please be patient, it will be back on line again sometime !
