Anyone related to the Deighton families of Ivinghoe and Marsworth?

  Possible links with Cheddington

Hi Tazzy,yes please.

I look for Charles Deighton /Anne Jordan @1865, and think before  that

Charles' father must have been born in Ivinghoe but cannot find his marriage. Am also interested in the Jordan family too. :)Marton

Hi Tazzie, yes, this is the right line,Charles was my gt. grandfather, did he marry in Marsworth?

Thank you , would be most pleased if you have more- unsure if they came to village because of the canal and reservoir work from elsewhere

Hi Marton.

Disc I have only goes to 1812 and is only marriages (got stung when I brought it, thought it would have more).
However I have found marriage-
Charles Deighton & Ann Jordan march qtr 1866 Berkhampstead Herts.
vol3a page 394.

Charles father John - this could be his birth
John Dayton c 23 Aug 1807 Ivinghoe f John -no mother stated  IGI
Other Deightons/Daytons in Ivinghoe are
from IGI-  John Dayton c 14 mar 1773- m Sarah Janes 26 Sept 1793
                 John Deighton m Ann Wise 24 N ov 1767
Thomas Dayton (father of Johnc1773) m Ann Horn 27 Jul 1767.

Let me know if this is OK

Fantastic Tazzie,

many thanks for all the info. , I will be able to put together one or two missing links now, and go back thru' the jordan line to find a Frederick Jordan ,b.1881, who became acting governor of New South Wales, who is related in some way, will have to go thru'Aussie sites I think.
                              A great help
