Edith Ethel KERRIDGE is known to have emigrated to New Zealand in 1904. She seems to have lived in the Wellington area. She had an illegitimate child in 1905, the child was adopted in 1909.
Edith was on the Electoral Roll in Wellington in 1908. All trace of her then disappears. Family have made quite extensive attempts to find her, all to no avail.
Has anyone come across her, or ideas as to further sources to establish what happened. It is possible that she returned to the UK but shipping lists have been examined and no trace of her up to now.
There are other Kerridge family members in NZ who are related. These were unaware of the existence of further family living nearby.
All I could find was the marriage of an Ethel KERRIDGE to Angus MCKINLAY in 1916, folio number 3916. On the offchance it's her you could try searching the Wellington Electoral Rolls under that surname.
Have you confirmed that she didn't die after 1908?
Cheers, riley

Thanks for this. Will check further to establish if it is the same lady.
No trace of a death post 1908. Trouble is no sign of anything for her after then. Why it looked as if she may have returned to UK, or gone out of the country anyway.
