Hi All
I’m looking for the wives of Robert NUDDS of Tibenham. They all married Robert in Tibenham, but none seem to have been born there.
1. Mary Witton, born abt. 1796, married Robert Feb 1819, died Aug 1819
2. Mary Cullum, born abt 1775, married to Robert 1821, died 1852
3. Esther Chaplin, born abt 1801, widowed before 1855, married Robert 1855, died 1879
Any leads would be appreciated

Jane Cox head living in part of house born Forncett St Peter widow is she 94
Esther Nudds age 70 Widow Nurse born Tivetshall St Mary Norfolk
Jane is from the same place as the second wife

Now we have
Esther Chaplin as servant age 45 unmarried cook born Tivetshall Norfolk
Jemina Hook servant age 35 unmarried laundress born Horstead Norfolk
Mary Ann Mickleburgh age 22 kitchen hand servant born Brooke Norfolk
Amos Parker servant age 21 gardener Norwich Norfolk
Now in a different pen Head replaced servant for Esther and formally put next to cook
so when the servant was crossed out and head for esther the do under servant for the others was trascribed has head for them all. At this time Esther is unmarried. not a widow

Pam - many thanks for your detective work. Strange that Esther is an unmarried 'Chaplin' in 1851, yet mother is a 'Cox', and when she married in 1855 she was still Esther Chaplin, but a widow. Can't find mother in 1861, but I have a number of people I can find in 1851 and 1871, but not 1861 because Ancestry.com is missing a whole bunch of Depwade District parishes.

Sorry where did you find mother of esther is a Cox?
On the 71 census Esther is nurse to Jane Cox no mention of relationship.
