Would someone who has access to the 1851 Census for Hereford City (probably St Martin's parish) please look up the household of William Lewis (occupation should be Cattle Dealer or similar), with a son Charles born circa 1837 (possibly working as a bakers apprentice), and maybe another son Warren, born circa 1842. Thanks

Thanks Darcy, This is the right one, and its great to see the mother-in-law there to prove the maiden name of the wife. I've checked the IGI and found the marriage of William LEWIS and Mary Ann JENNINGS in 1827, and the baptism of Mary Ann JENNINGS in 1808. I've also checked the IGI for the baptism of children of William and Mary Ann LEWIS. I found Charles and Eliza 30 Jun 1837 at St Nicholas Hereford, no George or Warren. Before this I thought that the only way I could find out the maiden name of William's wife was to get the birth certificate of Warren, but I couldn't find it in any index. This is great. Thanks Sandra

That's good news Sandra, It's great when you get a bonus of an extra family member on the census - especially a parent.
You are doing really well. Good luck with your search.
