Trying to trace details of family of Mary Ann Zebedee (abt 1865).
1891 census she was in Dorking Surrey, listed as being 26 and a Beale (my great grandmother), but born in Christchurch, Hampshire.
As a Christchurch man would love top trace her actual address or any details of family. She would have been around 6 in 1871, 16 in 1881.
fingers crossed,

Many thanks Tanja,
Rather sweet that she should marry a cranborne man just like her mum! After her death in 1900, her children returned to live with her mother in law in Cranborne, and there are clearly Zebedees for me to investigate for links as well.
Does Carter's wife mean that there is a carter zebedee as a father in the census?
and does he exist in the 1861 census in Christchurch?

The father isn't at home in 1871. But from 1881 (which you can search for free at www.ancestry.co.uk) we know her husband is Henery b. Dorset Daggons.
I can't see him in 1871 at all but here they are in 1861 RG9/666 34 15 Christchurch, Hampshire Barnsfield Henry Zebedee, head, 25, carter, b. Cranbourne Rachel, wife, 22, Glove knitter, b. do. William, son, 2, b. do. Infant, son, 1 day, b. Christchurch Hants
