Looking for info on Mary Gardiner.

Mary is the daughter of John Gardiner(Farmer) and Mary Codoom.  Her marriage certificate shows age 23 when married  place of birth is Kilcolgaw Co. Galway.

I would like to try and find any info on this family and how and when she came to Australia

Mary Gardiner was born abt 1845.

Her Australian Marriage certificate shows her age as 23 at time of marriage.  She married 8th October 1868 in Queensland, Australian.  The information from her marriage shows

Parents - John Gardiner and Mary Codoom.
Place of Birth - Kilcolgaw Co. Galway Ireland
Marriage - Taroom Colony of Queensland
Religion - Roman Catholic

I do not know when  she arrived in Australia.

Hi,

This is probably Kilcolgan not Kilcogaw Co Galway. There are no Gardiner nor Codoom or similar in Kilcolgan when the Griffiths Valuation was taken in Galway in 1855. Do you know when she emigrated?

The catholic parish records for Ballindereen, Kilcolgan, Drimacoo and Killeenavara are available for baptisms from 1854 only so I think you may be out of luck.

Did John Gardiner also emigrate? There are 2 John Garinder households in the Griffiths Valuation in Galway.

Any one got other ideas where 2manykidsnow can look?

THis might be a long shot . But I have a John B Gardiner married to a Mary . Her last name I assume is Sharp . They had many children . One is a Mary .She was born 5/23/1868. In Clackmannan,Scotland.The other childrens names are.

Peter,John(Jack),Euphemia,Joseph,James
