Hi,
From Cornish Marriage Index..
Samuel CROGGAN married Jane EDEVEAN on 13th may 1785 at Creed
Samuel signed "Croggon"
Looked for Jane and found this extracted record on the IGI...
Jane EDYVEAN bapt. 15th Nov 1748 at Little Petherick, Cornwall Parents John EDYVEAN and Joan
Near Padstow I think - Too early??
There is also a marriage for a Jane EDEVEAIN to a John HELLSTONE at Fowey in 1779 - is Fowey near Padstow? Might be the Jane born 1748?
I'll let you sort that out!!

Did you know that the Croggans at Grampound/Creed had a very old tannery which was in business until fairly recently? Very interesting buildings and history to the village which was once a "rotten borough"

There are Croggons living at the Old Rectory in Creed. I don't know if they are connected to the tannery. Judy
