Daventry Lookup.

Hi,
can someone find the birth/baptism of this man for me?

Samuel VIRGIN-I think he was born on the 19th Jan 1762 in Daventry-He was the son of John VIRGIN and Ann NIXON.

Can anyone also find his marriage-to Elizabeth Thompson at Daventry Parish Church 11th October 1787?

The information seems to be listed on the I.G.I.
http://www.familysearch.org site

Look at the left-hand side and go to Pedigree Resource File .

Type in Surname Virgin / Country England and up they all appear.   Grin

You also get John and Ann Nixon children Samuel included.  Smiley

Hi,
I've just looked on the pedigree resoursce part of family search and it doesnt give a source.I've now got Samuel Virgin,in my notes,born in 1762 in Daventry,in 1752,in Daventry and also 1752 in Marston Moretaine.All the same parents.
So....if anyone has a copy of Daventry P.R's or is going to Northants record office could they look for Samuels birth as well as a Samuel Virgin,'s death,same parentage born 1752.There could be 2 Samuel Virgins of the same parentage and this is what's caused confusion.Which one is my ancestor???

Have you looked at Northamptonshire Look Up Exchange to see if any one can help also.

ah I see.Ok you're right I havn't been on Northants for ages.I've been concentrating elsewhere like Beds and Lincs and occ. Notts.One of my Beds lot strayed for a time to Northants which is why I'm here.
I know what you mean about Samuel.I just don't know who's the right one?I have a copy of Marston Moretaine P.R's and there for 1752 was the birth of a samuel Virgin.Same parents as mine.Great I though,he had a brother who died before my Samuel was born in 1762.Couldn't find Samuel 1752's death in Marston so supposed he died in Daventry which is where Samuel 1762 is supposed to have been born.Then I looked on the IGI and someone has put down that Samuel Virgin 1752 married what I though was Samuel 1762'S wife .No souce information of course.
Confused?
Not as much as I am.
Thats why I need someone to check the primary source to see which one's which.
I need them to Find Samuel 1752's death and Samuel 1762's birth in otherwords.If a Samuel Virgin was never born in 1762 then it means that my original source had made a mistake and put the wrong date in forny direct ancestors  birth.
I now have a headache and am going to have a cuppa and a lie down
