My Grt Grandfather David Benjamin Redding 1st left
|
Hi I know this is a long shot, but I am looking for any one with the surname Gazzard, who may have had descendants from the Woolwich, East Ham area of London. I am struggling to find any links with this family. I have them up to 1891 but despite a detail search cannot find them after that time. The names I have are Emily, Elizabeth, Edward, Joseph, parents Eli Willam and Susan, Emily was my GRt Grandmother whosa married name was Redding, and subsequently lived in the Lambeth area. If you are a Gazzard I would love to hear from you to determine a potential link In anticipation Linda

Hi Thanks for writing to me, in answer to your question, To be honest I really dont know, All I really know is that Grt grandmother came from East Ham in Essex, the name from my research appears to be localised in the Essex and, Gloucester areas, so I wouldent rule anything out. Jayne

In 1898 in Bethnal Green a Robert Gazzard married a Jane George.
I haven't sent away for their marriage yet but I think that Jane was the sister of my great-grandfather, Henry George.
I think the same Robert Gazzard was a witness to the marriage of my g-grandparents, Henry George and Amelia Parker, in December 1901 in Bethnal Green.
According to the 1901 census, this Robert Gazzard was born about 1873 in Whitechapel.
Regards, Josephine

Hi, Jayne.
If I ever have the $$ to send away for the certificate, or if I try to track him in the census, I will try to remember to post the details.
Regards, Josephine

Jayne,
I'm a bit fuzzy-headed at the moment (pain medication) but will check it out later, thank you.
I wish I had tons of money to send away for all the certificates I want!
Regards, Josephine
