I am completely stuck with this fella after the 1871 census:
Wallace Hunter born b.1853 Bristol (probably Barton Regis)
Son of John Wallace Hunter b.Scotland 1815 and Grace Hunter b.Scotland 1817.
I've looked at all the censuses for the whole family and can trace John and Grace right through with their various kids, but Wallace disappears after 1871. I assumed he'd died until I came across another person researching this tree who told me that older family members (unfortunately now deceased) always claimed that Wallace had had thirteen children???(he didn't have any more info though). This has left me flummoxed - does anyone have any ideas as to where I should look next? I've checked and checked the later censuses, but to no avail!
I had a look on ancestry and theres a Wallace Hunter who emigrated to the US (New York), but because I'm only subscribed to UK records, I cant get any details for you. Maybe someone else can look this record up for you
Regards Catherine
