Didn't find them in 1851, but will look again.

In 1851, John CHAPMAN was listed in East Garston at Blakes Building living on his own - a "Widr".
In 1871, the family are still in East Garston, both Alice CHAPMAN and Mary Ann WOODLEY are living at home. The mother's name is listed as "Rachel"
