One of Many Family Lines

TAYLOR, John - Kilmacolm, also LYLE/LEILL, Robert
« on: Wednesday 15 September 04 07:21 UTC (UK) »

John Taylor's daughter, Jean married Robert LYLE (sp LEILL on extract) 26 SEPT., 1756.  I have also seen her name on the other extracts I have as Janet.  That is the name I've always used - Janet Taylor.

Is anyone else researching this TAYLOR family?  I would like to learn more about them.  Most of my research has been in Lanarkshire on the LYLE family, but this extract was in Renfrew.   In Lanarkshire the parishes are Barony or Govan.     Thanks, RedFox

02/27/2005 - Have learned that LYLE was originally from Renfrewshire, a member of Clan Stewart.
