1851 Census -William Henry Hampton

Hi I am trying to find more information about William Henry Hampton . He was born in Mauritius in approx.1831. I have found him  on board the Syria arriving Australia Feb 1854.  He was part of the crew as an able seaman. The ship left from plymouth in England. So I am hoping that he might have been in the plmouth area in 1851. Or on board a ship at that time.

might not be the right person but on the 1851 for Lambeth
William Hampton/head/mar/32/born India, British subject
Mary A Hampton/wife/mar/24/born Westminster (I think)

William's occupation is
Lieutenant E J C Service (I think that's what it says)

Thanks for the lookup, I don't think that his my William though.  I will keep the details on file. Might be a cousin.
Hampton doesn't seem to be a common name.
Serching for William is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Roll Eyes
