I am trying to find out about the CRAWCOUR family.

Hannah Crawcour is my 2nd great grandmother. She married John Levy (fruiterer), details unknown, and gave birth to my Great Grandmother, Adelaide Levy on 13 October 1847 at 9 Fashion Street Christchurch Spitalfields Middlesex England according to Adelaide's birth certificate.

I have tried www.one-name.org where there is a CRAWCOUR entry, but I have not received replys to my emails.

I have found a couple of CRAWCOURS in the 1881 census but cannot link them to Hannah.

Does anyone have any information or can give any assistance?

We have been investigating a number of inter-related families of this period, including the Crawcours, for whom we have extensive genealogical data, which we would be delighted to share with you.

We know of one Hannah Crawcour, daughter of Barnett Crawcour and Fanny Alexander, who apparently married a Benjamin Simons and had at least 4 children.

In addition we know of the GRO reference for the marriage of Hannah Crawcour in 1850 in St Lukes, London.

We have no idea if this is THE Hannah Crawcour of interest to you.
