Hi Andrea,
I didn't realise that you didn't already have this information.
Yes that Freeman family from Bovingdon on 1841 is Thomas Freeman & his wife Ann Ghast/ Ghost. The IGI extracted has the surname as Ghast but she is also know as Ann Ghost.

Hi Andrea,
I have been very lucky to have had some wonderful information sent me regarding the Freeman-Merriden connection in Bovingdon by a very experienced family history researcher to whom I am greatly indebted for her help and assistance.
Regarding Jas aged 14 & Ann aged 3 on the 1841 Census, this is what I have.
Jas is a shortening for James. James Freeman son Thomas Freeman & Anne Ghost born Bovingdon, Herts 18 August 1827. Christened 20 August 1827 (private baptism) Bovingdon, Herts.
Ann Freeman born 27 May 1838 is the grandchild of Thomas Freeman & Ann Ghost. Her mother Sarah Freeman was born abt 1819 & christened Jan 1819 in Hemel Hempstead is the child of Thomas & Anne Freeman. Sarah Freeman married the father of Ann, James Final in Bovingdon, on 26 Jan 1845.
The above information was taken from PR's by Patrica Ward.
