[i]Good day posters looking for a little help. has anyone access to EDINBURGH PARISH RECORDS circa 1771.I am trying to get some information on the the birth of my GGgranpa & the marriage of his parents my GGGgranparents.The only information I have is Gx3 was married August 1771 Edinburgh Parish.
 If you can help I would be most gratefull.

I'm not sure I have access or not - I've never looked but I am based in Edinburgh so next time I'm in the library I'll look.

Now what would help is a name or two  Wink

Good afternoon nice lady,in case you have not guessed it is my first struggle with this site so please forgive any foul ups.
The information I have is as follows:-
       JAMES HOLDING =JANET HASTING
       11thAUGUST 1771 EDINBURGH
        PARISH ,EDINBURGH.MIDLOTHOTHIAN.
That is exactly as it is written.I was looking for GFatherx3 in Wigtown & that is when I discovered he was born in Edinburgh but again do'nt know when or where.So any help you can offer will be so gratefully recieved.  Steuart Holding.  Cheesy
