Who Do You Think You Are?

"At first Jeremy Paxman was disinterested in his family history. But the story he uncovers is a shocking and emotional tale of poverty, hardship and resilience. And for the nemesis of politicians everywhere, there is an unsettling political connection too."

BBC 2 Wednesday 11th January 9pm

Did you see the last series? What did you think of it?

Let us know what you think after watching it...

I most certainly will be watching !!  I loved the last series as well.

What I didn't like was the extra waiting time for certs from GRO following the upsurge in interest the programs caused, and the increase in cert price from £7.00 to £11.00 for a while.  Hope GRO are ready this time!!

Can't wait for the first program tonight, have cleared my (very busy  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes) schedule, will get the kids off to bed early so I can watch in peace.

No doubt I won't be the only one.

I LOVED the last series. Grin

Infact it's what sparked my interest in finding out about my family history.

Which means I am also responsible for the increase in time it took the GRO to respond to requests!! Embarrassed

Yes me too. i thought the last series was great -  some very moving stories.

And my kids will be in bed early tonight - they`ve been heavily bribed `not to mess mummy around at bedtime tonight`!

I loved the last series, it didn't set me off on my family tree, I was independently getting started at the same time but it certainly fired me up.

I am looking forward to tonight, phone off the hook, slippers ready, front door has a big notice - 'Go Away'! pinned to it.

We have been anticipating the return of this series for a few weeks now on RootsChat. Have the T.V booked for 9PM. Death to anyone in the family who disturbs me or any friends that attempt to ring me. They have been warned.

Yes, I'll be in front of the telly too, loved every minute of it - I just hope they don't do what they did before though...they made it all look soooo easy Sad

Just pop off to the record office...just order a certificate...nip up to 'G** know's where' to visit the Ancestral Home, which incidentally is now a Superstore Roll Eyes  gripe over I'll still be watching Cheesy

Thanks for reminding me Trystan, I loved the last series and would have been gutted if you were all discussing it tomorrow and I'd missed it.

It reminds me of school when you couldn't wait to get in and discuss the previous nights episode of Grange Hill or The Young Ones.

Tricia, do you want me to tape it just in case?!
