Hi Looking for the following maybe in Brampton

Ann Turner born circa 1835 in Brampton. details of parents unknown.
There appears to be several Ann Turners born in Brampton over a period of 10 years around 1835. She is 27 on 1861 census living in Totley with husband Joseph Ward and 46 in 1881.

In 1841 there are several Ann Turners, living in the Brampton area.

There are just   2 that could be her, have you any other details that may help?

The closest match is this one

All born in county

John Turner, age 35, ag lab
Jane age 40
Hannah age 12
John age 9
Ann age 7
Jane age 5
Elizabeth age 2

Pudding Pro Hill? (not too clear)
Brampton
HO 107 0193
folio 17/31 page 10

Again all born in county

Garvis Turner, age 70, farmer? (not clear)
Garvis, age 30
Hannah age 25
Thomas age 8
Ann age 6
John age 4
Elizabeth age 3

Hall Cliffe
Brampton
HO 107 0193
folio 17/20
page 16

Not too sure how you will sort out which is her, there is another one age 5 but that seems a but young.

Thanks very much for the info. I have not been able to find details of her marriage which I think is somewhere between 1855 & 1857. I have checked on 1837 online against her husband's name but without success. I will try against her name now!!

I thought the names she had given her children might help but they have fairly unusual names too.

I have checked the 1851 for Garvis (down as Gervase in 1851), and Ann is not at home with them.


Also for the 1851 for the other likely family Jane is head, and no Ann!!

There are however quite a few Ann's listed as servants which doesnt really help!!

This isnt going to be easy!!
