I would be grateful of a lookup of my Blackton family forebears
in the 1851 and 1861 census records.
Joseph Blackton b. abt. 1816 in Milfod or Derby
Jane Blackton b. abt. 1825, place of birth not known
Joseph b. 1853 in Derby
John b. 1858 in Derby
Jane b. 1859 in Derby
I did have a census record for 1861 sent to me by post some months
ago, but it was for the Blackwall family. They all had the same names
as my Blackton forebears, but there was a son Thomas born
before Joseph that I didn't know about.
Could the person who transcribed the census for me just make a
mistake with the name Blackwall instead of Blackton.
I look forward to having this little problem sorted out.

Hello Sunflower,
I am now interested to know where Edward Blackton
(Blackwall) was in the 1851 census records. He would
have been aged about 3 or 4 years.
And where was William in the 1861 census. He would
have been aged about 19 years.
It was great to see the birth place for Jane Blackton in the
1851 census, Tiverton, Devon. Now I may be able to learn
if her maiden name is Pinkstone and who her parents were.
