A search on FreeBMD shows several Edith Groom's married after 1906 so any of them could be yours.

You say she was single in 1906.  What evidence do you have to support this?

Many thanks for your prompt reply. My beliefe that she was quite probably still unmarried in the early part of 1906 is a postcard sent to her c/o Mrs Yapp. The post card was post marked 28/8/1906,posted in Oldbury, and sent to Miss E. Groom by a friend called Rose . The text of the letter was as follows.Recieved your P.C.,nice to hear you are enjoying yourself, missing you, seems an age since Ive seen you. Hopeing  to see you soon. The c/o Mrs Yapp was the mother of Walter Yapp, who became the husband of Edith Groom. Thier first child was born 16/6/1907,was she at the time making wedding arrangements  ,or did she fall in love whilst dress makeing at the farm? They were second cousins, was the dress makeing arrangement, a form of match makeing? Many thanks.

Hi again

Where was the postcard sent to?  This may help narrow down a place for marriage.

I had another quick look on FreeBMD and there are only two marriages showing for a Walter Yapp, 1905 and 1910.  However, FreeBMD is an ongoing transcription programme so obviously the index is not yet complete.

You may have to spend a few pounds and do a search for the marriage on 1837online http://www.1837online.com/Trace2web/HomeServlet  The index is complete on here, and it is free to search but you will have to pay to view the results.

Hope this helps.
