Need help please to verify a birth in 1867 Port Glasgow, Renfrew. Anyone know an address where I write for a certificate and the cost?

Quickest way is to do it on line at
scotlandspeople.gov.uk
It will cost you the equivelant of £6 but that will enable you to download 5 certificates. It is very user friendly.
Another but more expensive way is to contact the Scottish Records Office in Edinburgh who will trace it for you for a fee .
