Hello Kris,

Just like to thank you, I found the reply button, I couldn't have been signed in, no wonder I couldn't find it.

I wonder if you can check the 1891 Census for Sutton, Surrey, for the following person if you don't mind,

Henry FISHER b. 4 Apr 1859, Hitcham,Suffolk, because in the 1881 Census for Sutton, Surrey he was living with his brother JOhn FISHER and wife Harriet STANLEY at 12 William Road, Sutton, Surrey, Henry age was 22 yrs, then his brother Immigrated in July 1884 to N.S.W, Australia, and I don't know what happened to him, but would like to know if possible.

I hope you can help, Again thanks for you help yesterday, I really appreciate it.

Sorry Leanne there is no Henry Fisher in Sutton so tried Henry Fisher b Hitcham and there r 4 of them all heads 2 r age 30 1 age 38 age 63..
one age 30 is in West Ham Essex a labourer married with heap kids under 8
The other age 30 is in Chadderton Lancs This one is a general labourer married kids under 5 BROTHER George a General Labourer b Hitcham they have transcribed his age as 10 but I really have no ides at all what it is so little help im afraid  Cry the one with the circle with the number 10 in it next to it is the one we want ( Mayb the enumerator wrote it to clarify age?) Just wondering as he is a Labourer if hes only 10 but once again that really doesnt mean much in those times to b working at 10 sadly not that uncommon

Kris
Ive got 1861 Suffolk give me a hoy if u want that and i will do it later..

Hi there again Leanne Here r both the Henrys in 1871 for u

RG12/3315 ED 2 Folio 30 Page 24 Entry 152
38 Garforth Street
Chadderton Lancashire

Henry Fisher Head 30 b Hitcham Suffolk General Labourer
Mary E Fisher Wife 22 b Manchester Lancashire
Wm Hy Fisher Son 5 b Oldham Lancashire
Ada Fisher Dau 4 b Oldham Lancashire
Annie Fisher Dau 9 months b Oldham Lancashire
George Fisher Brother (?age) b Hitcham General Labourer

Leanne I think another clue that although they have transcribed Brother Georges age as 10 it is not so cas they have a S for single in the Marital status box.....Henry and Mary Ann both have a M yet for the 3 children the box is blank then we come to George where they say age 10 yet there is an S in the box so he isnt 10!

RG12/1323 ED 27 Folio 38 Page 69 Entry 419
36 Denmark Street
West Ham Essex

Henry Fisher Head 30 b Hitcham Suffolk Labourer
Philis Fisher Wife 31 b Maidstone Kent
William H Fisher Son 8 b Plaistow Essex
George F Fisher Son 7 b Plaistow Essex
Ellen Fisher Dau 5 b Plaistow Essex
Sydney Fisher Son 2 b Plaistow Essex
Alfred Fisher Son 1 b Plaistow Essex

Now u just have to figure out who is son of William=Mary Ann and who is son of Henry=Susannah Huh
Have fun

Hello Kris,

I followed you instructions and it worked this time, I must be getting better.  I don't know any details of the wifes or children.
Robert Fisher b 9 May 1852, Hitcham, Suffolk died in dec 1893, Melton, Suffolk and buried 25 Dec 1893, Hitcham, Suffolk, I found this information from the following site, which Ray Long has done, he sent me Fisher line I was after, you may already have seen it.

See part of the Cosford Database at
http://www.cosford-database.co.uk

Once you clicked on it, go to the Hitcham link.

I would like to thank you for your time and finding out all this information, I am very excitied, I was wondering did you buy the census records, if so where can you get them from.

Thanks for the Henry's info, if i would have to guess I would say that the family I would pick as my Henry would be the following:
Henry and Philis, because Henry 's brother John who I am related to had the following children: George William and Sydney John Fisher, seeing that family have named there children George and Sydney, and maybe they named William after Henry's father, what do you think?
I suppose the other way is to find out for sure is to get Henry's marriage certificate, because that should have his parents name on it.

I have found that George Arthur FISHER died 1888,Hitcham, Suffolk, England
and buried 28 Nov 1888, Hitcham, Suffolk, England, who is Henry and Johns brother, so thats means he can't be in the 1891 census.

If you need anything looked up for Tasmania, I have a couple of cd's that I could check, so let me know.
Thanks again
Leanne
