looking for any information on thomas j Langley born rushton northants 1888. mother Lucy(1851) father either deceased or divorced as Lucy had remarried Charles smith by the 1901 census.
thomas had a brother George(1882) and sister Lillian(1890). all 3 were born in rushton. they were all registered as living in laxton northants in 1901.

Thanks very much for that. i am a little confused though.
i have info from 1881. lucy, born brigstow lincs 1845. robert born stickswold lincs 1840.
children joseph born walton le wold lincs 1864 and william r. born walton le wold lincs 1863. do you think this is the same family or just a big coincidence.
no trace of joseph or william in 1901.

Hi John,
Place of birth can differ from census to census. Some times from one village to another sometimes as written by someone else it can be totally unknown.
I will check in 1871 and 1881 myself to see if we can tie them all together, have to do it after tea- 2 noisey little boys to feed.

charles langley born 1866 woodall lincs all the family living in Horninghold in 1901
wife mary p (woolmer) born isham northants 1868
earnest c langley born 1893 rushton northants (son )
joseph f langley born 1899 rushton northants (son)
thats all i have at the moment. any of these names ring any bells.
