I have just spent a lovely hour looking at the various pictures of Liverpool, absoloutely fascinating. The ones of the Litherland carnival in 1952 made me smile as on one of the floats the title "N****r Minstrels was written on the side. We would be hung drawn and quartered if we used that phrase today!! Yet in 1952nothing offensive was meant.  Oh happy and innocent days!!  1952 was 3 years before I was born  in the year 2007 just how different things are Lincsbabe
