Marriage Lookup - AMOR & CREED

I am hoping that someone can look up a marriage for me.   I have George AMOR b WIL 1838 married to Ann b Caversham Oxon 1838.

A distant Australian relative has given me information that Ann is actually Ann CREED.   They would have married around 1863 (first child b 1864).   I have looked at a fiche of Oxon marriages, but couldn't find this marriage.

I believe that the copy I had access to was somewhat dated.

Hi Harry ...

I presume you got the information on William and Ann from a census?

If you were looking at the OFHS's Oxfordshire Marriage Index, then this only goes up to the start of civil registration in 1837.

I've checked IGI and FreeBMD, but no sign of their marriage.  It may be worth buying a few credits and checking on 1837online's pay-per-view site for the marriage.

Thanks for the reply - yes I have census information.   I didn't realise that the Oxfordshire Marriage Index was up to 1837 !!.   I'll have to take a trip over to Cowley some time and look at the PRs.
