I am looking for info on Elizabeth Gertrude Jackson. Born 1851 in Kentchurch, Herefordshire.
She was working as a servant in 1871 when she was 20. I do not have the 1871 census, just know she was on it as a servant in Pencraig, Marstow Civil, Herefordshire.
I have her in the 1881 census as Elizabeth Gertrude Barsley, with several children. There is a possibility that someone named Eleanor Jackson, born abt 1857, was her sister as she was in the same household as Elizabeth in the 1881 census. I have all the 1881 census info already.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
This is the only one I have found so far, of about the correct age, born Herefordshire, living Aston 1861
RG9/2181 folio 116 page 25 Aston, Warwickshire
John Jackson Head Mar. 35 Spade Tree(?) Maker Worcs. Halesowen Fanny M Jackson Wife Mar. 32 Devonshire Exeter Elizabeth Jackson Daur 9 Scholar Herefordshire Bromyard Hellen Jackson Daur 7 Scholar Warwickshire Aston Fanny Jackson Daur 3 Scholar Warwickshire Aston Sarah A. Jackson Daur 11 months Warwickshire Aston
Small outside chance Hellen could be Eleanor
Susan
Have since traced this Elizabeth Jackson in 1871 - servant in Aston

Thanks Susan
the Kentchurch District straddles both Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, which may be problamatic for searches.
I have found her family just today:
Would still be interested in finding her father John Jackson, b 1821 Abbe Dore, in an earlier census.

Susan,
There sure seems to be a Farr-Jackson connection. If I'm reading this right, he seems to be lodging in two Farr households between 1841 and 1851. His first daughter was born abt 1852, with his wife's name being Elizabeth b abt 1826 (though date maye be 1829).
This group is fairly new yet, I havn't verified any info with anything other than the census.
